Nananom Celebrates 36

ABOUT NANANOM

Nananom Dance Ensemble is an International Artistic Touring Company that performs and excels in traditional Ghanaian dancing and drumming, as well as those of other African cultures. The company was founded on September 17,1983 by Artistic Director, Ephraim K. Ketsri. His purpose was to educate and train teenagers in Ghana about their rich cultural heritage and values, through traditional performances in dance, drumming and song. Nananom, which means "Royals" or "Chiefs" (the custodians of our cultural heritage) was chosen as the name of the group since the desire of the group is to promote and project authentic traditional dances.
